All our work is hand finished by our time served craftsmen. We want you to have years of pleasure from your upholstery, so we think it’s worth taking some time to read through our after care recommendations.

Cushions
Whether your cushions are foam or fibre – plump them vigorously and regularly. Turn them about once a week as this will help to keep their shape for longer. Foam cushions will loose some of their hardness within the first few weeks.

Fabrics
Fabrics do not like direct sunlight, this can cause them to fade quickly. Direct heat from radiators can cause adverse reaction to the composition of your fabric.

Velvets and Chenille
Most pile cloths have the same characteristics of pressure marking, this can give the appearance of wearing. However, usually you can find fibres on the surface of the fabric, flattening with use. All suppliers of these fabrics will give this information on the back of the swatches, its worth taking time to read this at the point of order.

Cleaning
When dirt gets into the pile of your upholstery, even though it’s hard to see, it can be very abrasive. For the best results brush with a soft brush, then vac your furniture regularly.

Spills
Act quickly don’t allow it to dry, use a white kitchen role to absorb the spill, then wipe with a damp cloth. If this does not get rid of the problem get in touch and we can give you the best advice for your fabric.
